Double-ended Biotype periodontal probe to classify the gingiva Biotype. Clinical use : 1. If the fine / graduated part is visible trough the gingiva,then it is a very thin biotype. 2. If the fine / graduated part is not visible but the thick / black part is, then it is a medium biotype. 3.
